The Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU) has embarked on a series of country visits across the Region in an effort to foster the spirit of innovation and development of ICT-based solutions, and to raise awareness of the adoption of ICT solutions for social and economic development.
 
The Caribbean ICT Road Show (CIRS) has been developed to raise awareness within the public and private sectors, civil society and academia, of the innovation and effective use of ICTs in government, business and social development.
 
The theme for the ICT Road Show is: "Harnessing the Power of Innovation - the engine for ICT-enabled development."

The CIRS was launched on Tuesday, 28 July 2009 in Grenada and will culminate in June 2010 with a Regional ICT Symposium. The ICT Road Show is expected to be held in two member states every month.

 

An invitation is extended to all Caribbean governments, organisations, institutions and individuals with an interest in ICT innovations.
